What is the TRV?

Transfer, Returning, and Veteran Student Services (TRV) is dedicated to supporting our non-traditional students as they navigate life at UC Merced. We recognize that our TRV students have pathways that may look different from the traditional college experience and we work to remove barriers, increase access to campus resources, and create opportunities for students to build community and stay engaged.

Through advising referrals, workshops, events, and our student lounge, the TRV provides tools and spaces that help students stay connected, informed, and empowered as they progress toward their academic goals.

Who We Serve? 

• Transfer Students - A student that has transferred to UC Merced from a community college or another four-year institution. 
• Returning/Re-entry Students - A student who had to leave the university for a semester or longer due to various reasons and has now come back to continue their education.
• Veteran/Dependent Students - A student who has served in the U.S. Military or has a parent or spouse who served.
